Hi, I'm Marie a Shropshire based artist, specialising in creating realistic pet and equine portraits using coloured pencils.
My goal is not simply to achieve realism but to capture spirit and emotion in my work, resulting in a unique and meaningful piece to commemorate your loved ones.

I have two German Shepherds - Riley and Echo and have had many horses over the years. My animals are my family (as well as the husband!) I know how much I love them and how important they are to us. Being asked to draw someone's best friend is an honour

I create lifelike portraits that can be treasured for a lifetime.

THE PROCESS.....
​
Step 1
Once you have decided on a size, contact me directly to discuss. Let me know when you require the artwork for and I will do my best to accommodate the date for you.

Step 2
Send me your photos, where possible I work from good quality digital photos. I pride myself and work hard to capture a true likeness through the eyes so to as accurate as possible these really do need to be clear. I realise that many portraits are memorials, and I will work from poor quality photos where higher quality pictures aren't available please understand that your portrait will be slightly less detailed.

Step 3
To book your slot I ask for a 25% booking fee to secure your place, You will be booked into my diary and I will inform you once i begin your portrait.

Step 4
Time to Draw! During the drawing process I will keep you updated. Once the final balance is paid I will then post to you via tracked service
Portraits are created using the highest artist quality lightfast coloured pencils.
I only use archival acid free paper and mounts.
Your portrait will be mounted and supplied in an acid free acetate protective sleeve
Each portrait can take anywhere from 25 hours to 60 plus hours depending on size.

I accept Direct Debits and can spread across 4 months via Go Cardless ​ - just
contact me to arrange.
​
Your portrait will be a good size within the paper size with a plain background.
​
For pieces with a complex background please contact me for a quote.
​
UK postage is included, All portraits are sent packaged within MDF sheets to arrive safely.
​
For International postage please contact me,
recipient will also pay any customs charges
